MELLOTT — R. Virgil Hayes, 92, a former Mellott barber, died at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday in Pythian Home at Lafayette. Mr. Hayes was a barber here from 1902 until 1970, with the exception of 10 years when he lived at Falls Church, Va. He was a member of the Mellott Church of Christ. A native of Tompkinsville, Ky., he was married in 1905 to Flora Mae Ross, who died at Falls Church in 1942. Surviving are two sons, Gordon of New York City and Richard of San Francisco; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Beatrice) Webb of Lafayette; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Arlington, Va. --typed by Walt W
